What types of doors do you sell?
BGW Doors specializes in residential exterior entry doors, including wood, fiberglass, and iron front doors. We offer single doors, double doors, and options with sidelights.
Are your doors pre-hung?
Yes. Our exterior entry doors are sold as pre-hung systems for easier installation and a proper fit.
What’s included with a BGW Doors pre-hung door?
Your door unit includes:
- Hinges
- Framing screws
- Threshold
- Weatherstrip
- Exterior brick molding
- Casing
- Jamb
Handles and locks are not included and are sold separately.
Do handles and locks come with the door?
No. Handles and locks are sold separately so you can choose the style and finish you want.
What is the lead time for my door?
- In-stock doors: Typically ship within 5–10 business days. Same-day warehouse pickup may also be available for in-stock items.
- Custom or out-of-stock doors: Estimated lead time is approximately 14–16 weeks, depending on the specific model and finish selected.
Lead times can vary by model and finish. If you share the door model, we can confirm the current estimate.
How much is shipping?
Shipping varies by product and location. Flat rate nationwide shipping for fiberglass and wood doors is $350. Your exact shipping cost is shown at checkout or on the product page.
Can I order a door as a single or a double?
Most of our designs can be configured as a single door or as a double door. Contact us for custom doors.
Which door material is best: wood, fiberglass, or iron?
- Fiberglass: low maintenance and great for long-term durability
- Wood: classic, premium look with natural character
- Iron: strong, secure, and bold curb appeal
The best choice depends on your climate, sun exposure, and style preferences.
Do I need an overhang to protect my front door?
An overhang is required for all wood exterior doors to properly protect the door from direct sunlight, rain, and harsh weather exposure. Adequate overhead coverage helps preserve the finish, reduce the risk of warping or cracking, and maintain long-term structural integrity.
Please note: Any damage caused by the absence of a proper overhang — including sun fading, finish failure, splitting, or warping — is not covered under warranty.
While we recommend an overhang for all exterior entry doors, it is especially critical for wood doors to ensure lasting performance and warranty protection.
Can I return or exchange a door?
Return eligibility depends on whether the door is in-stock or custom-built and the condition it’s returned in. Please refer to your store policy page or contact us with your order number for the fastest answer.
What information do you need to help me order the right door?
To confirm fit and configuration, it helps to have:
- Door size (width x height)
- Swing direction (left-hand or right-hand)
- Single, double, or sidelights
- Material (wood, fiberglass, or iron)
- Any special notes about your opening or trim
